Dr. Tan is a dedicated optometrist with a decade of experience in medical eye care. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry where she graduated with honors. She pursued to advance her education with a residency in Ocular disease at the State University of New York (SUNY) where she also served as a clinical assistant instructor.
After finishing residency, she stayed in New York working in ophthalmology and also served as the residency co-supervisor teaching interns and residents. She moved back to the west coast during the pandemic and continued working in ophthalmology, serving patients in north county San Diego.
Dr. Tan’s passion for vision health began in her childhood, inspired by her own experiences with vision correction. She specializes in comprehensive eye examinations, contact lens fittings (including scleral lenses, RGPs and Misight for myopia control), and the management of ocular diseases (such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye, etc.), ensuring that her patients receive personalized care tailored to their needs.
Outside of the office, she enjoys being a new mom, hiking, and spending time with her family (especially her chunky 8-month-old Canon). She can’t wait until he’s old enough to take him on hikes!
